Finspot ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our expense tracking application handles your information.
Finspot is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal or financial data.
Information Storage
Stored Locally on Your Device
- Financial Transactions: Amounts, categories, dates, and notes.
- Wallets: Names and balances you create.
- Categories: Custom icons and budgets.
- Preferences: Theme, language, and currency settings.
What We Do NOT Collect

Data Transmission
Finspot does not require or use an internet connection.
Data Backup
Android Auto Backup
Handled by Google's Android OS. Backs up to your personal Google Drive, encrypted, and controlled entirely by your Android device settings.
Manual Exports
You can manually export CSV spreadsheets or full database backup files. These are saved only where you choose and never transmitted by us.
User Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because your data is saved solely on your physical device, you maintain full sovereign control:
- Access: View all data directly within the app at any time.
- Modify: Edit, update, or reorganize any record or account.
- Delete: Clear all data in seconds via Settings → Clear Data, or simply uninstall the app.
- Portability: Export records to standard CSV files whenever you wish.
